Product Details

Dwarf Wax Myrtle, Myrica cerifera synonym Morella pusilla, is a small form of the commonly known Wax Myrtle. Some taxonomists have split it into a separate species, but it is considered a population form of just one species, Morella cerifera. Like it's bigger form, Dwarf Wax Myrtle requires regular water during the first year of establishment. This plant should be planted in moist to average drained conditions with full to partial sun. Hot day sun releases the Bayberry aroma from the foliage. Female plants produce the waxy gray (with pollinization from male plants) fruit that is relished by a large diversity of birds.
