Adam's Needle,Yucca filamentosa, is a short, 2 foot succulent plant, in the agave / yucca family with strong strap leaves that are gray green. The flowering stalk with creme lily like flowers rises up to 12 ft. high above the foliage. The flowers are followed by persistent seed pods. Adam's Needle comes from drained, dry conditions in full sun or nearly full sun. Larval host for yucca giant skipper.
