Bird Pepper, Capsicum annuum var. glabriusculum, is a short-lived annual that produces small white flowers year-round. The flowers are followed by small orange/red fruits that are edible (tasy, but hot!). It prefers full sun and grows 3' tall and about 3' wide. The green, unripened fruits are beloved by birds (especially mockingbirds).
