Product Description

Black Tupelo also known as Blackgum Tree, Nyssa sylvatica, is usually found in the wild in wet to moist locations, but this wide branching deciduous shade tree is adaptable to average conditions. It is well known for it's dramatic fall show with rust red leaf color. Black Tupelo are known for their wind tolerance, but they do not have salt air tolerance. The trees produce dark blue fruits favored by birds and mammals. Black Tupelo grows to 50 to 75 feet with a 50 foot spread in maturity and under ideal conditions.
