1 to 2 ft. tall by 0.5 to 1.5 ft. wide native milkweed. The bright orange flowers emerge in spring and summer that makes it very showy. Larval host (caterpillars) of Monarch, Queen, and Soldier butterflies, making it very popular with butterfly gardeners. Plant in dry to very dry sandy soil and part to full sun. Like most milkweeds native to Florida, this species is winter dormant. It attracts butterflies and bees.
