Small, deciduous tree found throughout the south and south and central midwest U.S.. Moderately fast growth rate reaching 12'-15' tall, but has potential for more growth. Produces greenish-white flowers which ripen into showy, red berries. Invaluable as a food source for birds and host plant for American Snout Butterfly. Thrives in partial shade.
