Duck Potato, Sagittaria lancifolia and S. latifolia, A common wetland plant often used in created ponds but is naturally found in swamps, ditches, and lake/stream edges. Requires constantly moist soils at a minimum but preferes to be in 12-18" of water. White flowers occur throughout the warm months. Can form colonies through its spreading roots. May lose its foliage in the winter if it gets too cold.
