Fetterbush also known as Shiny Lyonia, Lyonia lucida, is a long-lived perennial shrub that typically grows 4'-6' tall, but can reach 10' in some cases. They bloom with small, fragrant, pink bell-like flowers in Spring before the new growth emerges. It tolerates full to part sun and prefers a moist, well drained soil. This plant also needs an acidic soil, so some minor amending may be necessary. These are popular with pollinators and offer an interesting foliage in the landscape.
