Florida Basil
Ocimum campechianum, A state-endangered native herb found in the pine rocklands of south Florida. Prefers light shade to full sun and moist, well-draining soils. Generally stays under 18" but has a spread of 2-3 feet. Aromatic foliage can be used in place of other basil varieties in cooking. Reseeds readily.
