Florida Silver Palm

Product Description

Florida Silver Palm, Coccothrinax argentata, is a rare and very slow growing palm native to extreme south Florida. Over a long period of growth, this species can reach 20 feet plus. It has deeply divided palmate leaves with a coppery or silver colored underside of the leaf. It is very ornamental and has high drought and salt tolerance, but should be in cold sheltered locations only as it tolerates only light frost. As with all native palms, Florida Silver palm provides a great accent or specimen effect in the landscape as well as many wildlife benefits for pollinators and birds.
