Product Description

Garberia heterophylla is a native deciduous broadleaf shrub. It is endemic to Florida, meaning it does not grow naturally anywhere outside the state. Garberia also naturally occurs in Pinellas County. It can reach 5-6 feet tall and 5 feet wide. Lavender flowers bloom in clusters, that are extremely popular to a very large array of pollinators. Full sun to partial shade and dry to very dry soil moisture. It requires acid soils. It is a very underutilized species that deserves more use in restoration projects and in landscapes.
