Product Description
Pithecellobium keyense
A shrub with an irregular crown from 8-15 feet high. Named for the black seeds that burst from red seedpods. Requires full sun and moist-average soils. Drought tolerant once established. Flowers year-round, peaking in spring and summer. Host for cassius blue large orange sulphur butterflies. Listed as threatened in the state of Florida.
