Man in theground
Product Description
Man in the Ground, Ipomea microdactyla, is a deciduous flowering vine in the Morning Glory family. It prefers full sun and is drought tolerant once established, and is fast-growing to cover fences or to climb a trellis. It blooms year round, but the heaviest blooms will happen during the Spring-Summer season (warm months), and are a wonderful magenta color. This plant gets its name from tuber-like roots underground that help it survive drought and store energy for dormancy. They are native to Miami-Dade county and are on Florida's endangered species list.
