Coastal Spider Lily or Mangrove Spider Lily, Hymenocallis latifolia, grows in Mangrove Marsh tidal zone and upward in to coastal uplands. It is a perennial lily growing from a bulb. The fragrant and spidery white flowers make a welcome and showy display. This lily is adapted for inundation in salt water, full to partial sun, and it is drought tolerant once established. Over time, Coastal Spider Lily will multiply and form clumps. The foliage will grow to 2 feet or better in height and it can make a great accent in the landscape.
