Vachellia farnesiana var.pinetorum

Native evergreen coastal shrub. Rarely grows up to 10ft tall, usually smaller (5-6ft). As wide as it is tall. Yellow flowers appear on spiked stems that are incredibly fragrant. Likes full sun and is very drought tolerant. It can thrive in nutrient poor soils, it's a legume, so it can form it's own nitrogen from the atmosphere. Fantastic pollinator plant and provides a great spot for nesting birds. Always be cautious of the thorns.
