Pineland Lantana, Lantana depressa var. depressa, grows 1 to 2 feet in height and 2 to 3 feet in width. This Lantana from Dade County makes a great flowering spreading ground cover. It is a perennial and is very popular for the showy deep yellow color blooms and good butterfly attraction. This species is endangered in the wild and hard to find cultivated due to the wide sale of Lantana hybrids. Plant Pineland Lantana in moist to average well drained soil in full to partial sun. This plant will freeze back in frosty locations.
