'Purple Possum' Passionvine, Passiflora edulis, is a fruit-producing vine best grown on a trellis or fence. It grows in full sun to part shade and prefers moist, well-drained soil. It is drought tolerant once established, so deep waterings are important for new plantings. They bloom with striking purple flowers in Spring- Fall and produce a dark purple fruit afterwards. The fruit are tart and house a wonderful tropical flavor.
