Quailberry
Product Description
Quailberry, Crossopetalum ilicifolium, is a plant that in casual observation, looks like a prostrate holly with serrated leaves (pointed) and bright red berries. Quailberry is a south Florida plant adaptable to areas that are nearly frost free and in full sun to mostly sunny locations. This plant is slow to spread to a couple feet across and makes a great, well behaved spreading ground cover for a tidy look and a non-aggressive cover plant that can fit smaller spaces. This also makes a good potted plant. The blooms are inconspicuous, but the berries and the foliage are ornamental. The berries are used by birds.
