Seaside Gentian, Eustoma exaltatum, is a highly attractive salt marsh wildflower dependent on moist to wet and even occasionally inundated conditions with brackish or salt water. The pale to medium lavender blooms are present in early summer. This plant is best for moist to wet shoreline areas, and if one has the right conditions, it will make for a very showy addition. This is not a plant adapted to typical garden conditions and it will not tolerate drying out.
