Illicium floridanum, is and upright, rounded, suckering, evergreen shrub that reaches 4 to 6 feet high and wide. Requires moist-average soil and shade. It is native to moist woods in north Florida. This cultivar of Florida Red Anise has white flowers that bloom in spring with fruit ripening in the fall. Excellent screening plant in shady, wet locations.
