Product Details

Argentine Rain Lily, Habranthus robustus, is an evergreen plant growing from bulbs with strap leaves. Blooming is extraordinarily showy with 2 to 3 inch trumpet shaped flowers in sporadic bloom sets from late May to October and may even produce a bloom here or there outside of this time-frame. The coloring on this species is blush pink to medium pink. The 12 to 14 inch plants are ultra durable and carefree with persistent plantings around abandoned homesteads indicating this species long-term popularity and hardiness. It is adapted to moist to average soil in bright shade to full sun. Rain Lilies multiply readily by bulbs and seed, but are not aggressive. It makes a great low maintenance bulb for mixed flower beds or for edging beds.
