'Bracken's Brown Beauty' Southern Magnolia
Southern Magnolia, Magnolia grandiflora 'Bracken's Brown Beauty', is a compact and narrow growing cultivar of this iconic American tree, originating in South Carolina. Bracken's Brown Beauty grows to 40 feet or more, with a narrow crown. Southern Magnolia is known for its large 5-6 inch highly fragrant white flowers that attract pollinators. Blooms are produced in May through June. The cone like seedpods that contain large red seeds is ornamental and very attractive to songbirds.
