1 to 2 ft. tall by 0.5 to 1.5 ft. wide Bright orange flowers emerge that makes it very showy. Larval host (caterpillars) of Monarch, Queen, and Soldier butterflies, making it very popular with butterfly gardeners. Plant in dry to very dry sandy soil and part to full sun. Like all native milkweeds to Florida, this species is winter dormant. It attracts butterflies and bees. Not aggressive.
