Carolina Jessamine

Carolina Jessamine also known as Yellow Jessamine, Gelsemium sempervirens, is a twining, perennial, evergreen native vine that is showy in bloom and can grow extensively long. Lustrous, dark-green foliage makes this a very attractive vine. Its winter and early spring flowers are very fragrant, yellow and trumpet-shaped and this vine naturally occurs throughout Florida . The fruit is a 1 1/2 in. long capsule. Consider using this fragrant native vine instead of non-native Asian Confederate Jasmine.
