Clustered Bushmint, Hyptis alata is a short lived perennial wildflower widely distributed across the state of Florida. It grows 2'-3' tall and 1'-2' wide, and prefers moist, well or poor-draining soils; however, it is tolerant of short periods of drought once established. It blooms year-round, with the most blooms emerging in the warm months (Spring-Fall). It is an excellent nectar source for pollinators.
