'Natchez' is a cross between Lagerstroemia indica and L. subcostata that produces flowers for most of the summer. It is a large, deciduous shrub reaching up to 20 feet tall. White blooms will cover the new growth. It's peeling bark that exposes the cinnamon brown trunk beneath, creating additional interest.

It is recommended to prune crape myrtles in late winter (late Feb/Early Mar). Do not severely prune or top plants, but trim back to pencil-sized branches. This creates the healthiest tree, prevents sprouts from coming from the base, and leaves a nicely-shaped tree over winter.
