Citronella Geranium, also called 'Mosquito Plant', is an evergreen perennial reaching 2-2 feet high and wide. They are well-suited to full sun but appreciate a bit of protection from the harsh afternoon sun. Allow the soil to dry between waterings. When used in planters, fertilize every other month in spring and summer.

The leaves can be crushed and applied to the skin (or fur!) to deter mosquitos.
