Vigna luteola is an annual or short-lived perennial vine in the pea family. It has small yellow flowers with vines reaching 6-10 feet long or formings mounds. Prefers full sun and average to very dry soil. The flowers and seeds are edible. Very yound seedpods can be eaten raw with mature seeds boiled. Host plant for cassius blue, gray hairstreak, dorantes longtail, and long-tailed skipper butterflies.
