Netted Chain Fern, Woodwardia areolata, is a distinctive native fern that when available adds a great texture to the landscape. It can reach 3 feet, but is typically shorter in the 1 to 2 foot range. As with all ferns, Netted Chain Fern should be used in moist to wet shaded landscape settings.
