Saltbush

Saltbush, Baccharis halimifolia,is a deciduous flowering tree native to Florida. It grows 8-15 feet high and 5-8 feet wide. It blooms in fall and is adaptable to moist and dry soil types. Full sun to some shade. Fast growing, it makes an excellent choice for a privacy hedge in a less formal landscape. Seeds spread via wind so may spread within the landscape. Flowers attract pollinators and seeds attract birds. Can tolerate brackish water inundation.
