Ixora coccinea is a non-native evergreen broadleaf shrub can be kept 3 to 5 feet tall. Plant in full sun to partial shade. It likes acidic, moist to dry soil. For hedging, place about 3 feet apart. Bright red clusters of flowers cover the plant in spring then intermittently through fall.
