Maui Ixora or Ixora coccinea is a sun loving shrub that can grow anywhere from 10'-15' tall but is very easily hedged or pruned to a smaller size.They bloom year-yound and prefer full sun to part shade. This plant is moderately drought and salt tolerant. Flower clusters can last for 6-8 weeks and are extremely showy. Use for privacy or accent hedging. Prefers an acidic environment, so fertilization during the permitted times of the year may be encouraged.
