Long-lived perennial deciduous native grass. Flower spike grow 5-6 feet tall while foliage grows in 2-3 feet high clumps. Requires moist to average soil and full sun. NOT drought tolerant. Adds height and interest in the fall. Reseeds readily so can help fill in low, marshy areas. Cut back foliage in the spring if a tidier look is preferred.
