Swamp Lily, Crinum americanum, is a wetland bulb that has bright green strap leaves up to 3 feet long and 2 to 3 inches wide. The showy fragrant flowers are produced on long flower stems in groups of 2 to 6 blooms. It will grow in full sun to dappled shade, but demands moist to wet conditions. It makes a nice smaller plant for small ponds and wet to moist areas in landscapes.
