Wild Strawberry

A native perennial that occurs naturally only in the panhandle of Florida. Host for gray hairstreak butterflies. Tolerates moist to dry soil and part shade to filtered sun. Grows low to the ground and spreads readily as a ground cover. Edible fruit ripen in summer.
