Growing in the inter tidal zone along Florida's coast, this mangrove can tolerate regular salt water inundation. They generally grow 15 to 30 feet but can reach 60. These trees provide excellent shoreline protection from both wind and storm surge. They are evergreen so make a great privacy barrier along waterways.
