Runner Oak
Product Description
Runner Oak, Quercus pumila, is one of the smallest native oaks of Florida. It grows only 3 feet high and spreads over time via underground runners, forming a low thicket. This is an upland species that prefers very dry and deep drained soil. Can be used in part shade to full sun. Excellent for providing habitat as well as being a larval host plant for several hairstreak butterflies.
