Product Description
Prunus serotina, is a native deciduous tree that reaches 60-70 feet high with an oval-shaped crown. Wild cherry cough syrup is made from the inner bark. It also known for producing high quality wood. It flowers in late winter-early spring and fruit ripens in summer. Fruit can be used for jams and jellies or left for the birds to enjoy. Plant in part shade to full sun and average to dry soil. Larval host for the Tiger Swallowtail butterfly.
