Native perennial wildflower. It is naturally found in sandy scrub and sandhill habitats. Small purple flowers bloom on 8-10" stalks in summer. It prefers dry soil but can tolerate higher moisture levels in very well-drained soil. Plant in part shade or dappled sun.
