Sweet Alyssum is a popular choice of bedding plant with wonderfully fragrant flowers. Sweet Alyssum grows 3-6 inches tall and can sprawl to about 10-12 inches wide. They do best in moist, well-drained soils and prefer full sun for best blooms. They are a great hardy plant for hot summers and tend to be perennials; however, dieback may occur with cold temperatures. The sweet-smelling blooms make them a favorite of summer gardeners.
