Blue Curls, Trichostema dichotomum, is a common native wildflower in the extensive mint family. It is well adapted to dry drained sites in partial to full sun. It is an annual, but it seeds readily and persists whereever it is planted. Because it seeds aggressively, the seedlings will need to be thinned out in most gardens. It has small but striking blue flowers from summer into the fall. It is a plant attractive to bees, but not butterflies. The plant grows to one to one and a half feet in height and is upright in shape.
