Cinnamon Fern

Cinnamon Fern, Osmunda cinnamomea, is a perennial fern and can reach a height of 3 ft. on mature plants. It has fronds that occur in groups, rising from a shallow, black, Osmunda fiber root stock. The contrasting stature of fertile and infertile fronds can make for dramatic accents in a landscape. The fertile fronds look like cinnamon sticks. This is a popular ornamental native fern.
