Spotted Beebalm

Monarda punctata, also called Dotted Horsemint, is a showy, aromatic, perennial wildflower growing bushy 3-4 ft tall in the summer and fall when it is blooming. It has rosettes of spotted flowers surrounded by bracts that are white, pink, lavender or purple. Give this plant space so that it does not crowd out smaller plants. Will attract a great variety of pollinators including butterflies. It is easy growing in partial sun to full sun in moist to dry sandy soil. It blooms mid summer through the fall.
