Mahogany, Swietenia mahagoni, grows to a height of 60 feet, producing a well-shaped dense crown of compound leaves with 4-8 leaflets. It is a broadleaf evergreen, shedding leaves in the spring and rapidly replacing with new season foliage. This is a wind and coastal adapted tree for warmer areas that is a very popular tree where it is known.
