It's toothed foliage is small and deep green on spreading stems that can creep indefinitely and collectively get several inches high to 6 inches tall depending on moisture and environment. The flower stems are held above the foliage. This is a plant that is host to Phaon Crescent, Peacock, and Common Buckeye butterflies. It is also a nectar plant for the butterflies. It should be used in moist soil and sun. Give it room to creep and out compete other small plants.
