Soft Rush

Soft Rush, Juncus effusus is a native emergent plant that grows about 3' tall and 3'-4' wide. It grows in full to part sun and needs a consistently moist soil. They bloom in the summer and the seeds provide food for birds and other wildlife. They also provide nesting habitat for birds, and are a great choice for a border planting along retention ponds or other moist areas.
