Black Torch, Erithalis fruticosa, is a coastal, evergreen shrub reaching 4-8 ft high and 4-6 ft wide. White flowers are followed by red or black fruit. Blooms and fruits year-round. Excellent as an informal hedge or as a part of a tropical landscape. Tolerant of salty wind and light spray as well as brackish water inundation. Plant in full sun and dry, well-draining soil.
