Whitetop Aster
Product Description
Whitetop Aster, also known as Dixie Aster, Sericocarpus tortifolius, is a perennial wildflower that can reach 2 feet or better and is naturally widely distributed throughout Florida's uplands. It does die back in the fall, but returns with the spring. It is mostly unnoticed when not in bloom. It blooms summer through fall and is somewhat unique with flower heads that display sparse white rays. The leaves have a woolly appearance and are somewhat rounded. It is adaptable in gardens and grows easily from seed.
