Ilex krugiana is a medium-sized evergreen tree reaching 2-30 feet. White flowers in spring are followed by black fruits that ripen in fall. These are dioecious, with male and female flowers on separate trees. Can be grown in shade to full sun and average to dry soil. Great value as a food source for migratory birds in fall.
