Allspice, Pimento dioca, is a non-native, medium sized, evergreen tee reaching 25-30 feet high. Native to the Carribean, South America, and Mexico. Plant in full to part sun and average to dry soil. Blooms in spring and summer followed by red fruit. The fruit is dried and ground to make the spice. Fruit is produced 3-5 years after planting.
